The placement of flowers on the site of a loved one is a time-honored tradition. It is an expression of the love and remembrance of those who have passed from this life. It is a beautiful memorialization.
Flower Regulations
The following regulations were established in order to maintain the beauty of the cemetery. We respectfully insist that they be observed.
All floral arrangements and decorations are to be removed when they begin to appear wilted or faded.
Planting of flowers, grasses, shrubs, trees, or any type of foliage, other than that done by cemetery staff is not allowed.
All decorations should be placed on the marker foundation to allow for mowing. Grave vases and those installed in the marker foundation may be used for cut flowers.
No more than one shepherd’s crook may be placed on a grave. The crook should be no more than 36” tall and must be place adjacent to the marker so as not to interfere with mowing.
Artificial flowers are permitted, however, glass vases and decorations, including candles or other ornaments are prohibited
No vases, plants, floral arrangements, artificial flowers or other ornaments shall be allowed on the columbarium, nor is anything to be attached to the columbarium
Every reasonable effort will be made to care for flowers, but neither the cemetery nor any of its employees will be responsible for any movable placement that may be lost, stolen or misplaced.
Weathered decorations, and those that interfere with cemetery maintenance or are in violation of these rules, will be removed by cemetery personnel.
